TME Documentary: Final Reflection 4 -“Loving what you do” Conversations with inspiring conductors.

Seeing all our hard work pay off last Tuesday was one of the most happiest moments of our lives. As we did our final export and uploaded the documentary on youtube we still couldn’t quite comprehend that this work was entirely ours.

I remembered the first time we pitched our idea to James who was extremely supportive and gave us that added bit of confidence to pursue it. There were also those who thought we were crazy to plan a 40 min documentary..including ourselves at times!! In the middle of professional experience practicals, recitals, essay submissions, composition assignments and conducting exams.. this proved to be quite a challenge.

But each of the conductors we interviewed: Anna Humberstone, Brett Weymark , Eduardo Diaz Munoz and Sarah Feltham were absolutely inspiring. It was their interviews that kept us going , believing that something much bigger and beautiful was at hand.

Why did we do this? : In the same exact words of Brett Weymark: “The world needs more inspired, educated, skilled conductors…”

This is also in the hope that who ever who watches this Documentary will be inspired to find the best musician within themselves and in the process inspire the environment around them.
